Vivre en Corse, notamment à la retraite, est un gage de qualité de vie chère aux insulaires et dont les nouveaux venus prennent rapidement le tempo. Il faut dire que la mer et la montagne enchantent le quotidien. De plus, les clubs de retraités sont un cadre propice aux activités pour personnes âgées.

Avec la retraite, le véritable luxe est de retrouver la totale maîtrise de son emploi du temps. Ce qui se traduit, plus particulièrement en Corse, par la possibilité de profiter d’une nature généreuse en paysages de rêve que ce soit en bord de mer ou à la montagne. Cela permet aussi d’envisager les loisirs pour personnes âgées sous des angles très variés – visites, promenades, sports.. – et, pourquoi pas, au sein d’un club de retraités.

C’est indéniable, avec les clubs de retraités corses, les activités proposées sont souvent placées sous le signe de la détente et de la bonne humeur. Toutefois, elles peuvent prendre une tournure plus sérieuse. C’est le cas à travers l’engagement des retraités insulaires dans les débats portant sur l’avenir de l’île – écologie, économie… -, ainsi que dans des actions nationales, notamment sur la question de la défense des acquis et des retraites.

Parallèlement, les clubs de retraités sont très actifs en matière de solidarité. Cela passe par des actions de soutien – logistiques et/ou morales – à l’attention des personnes en situation de détresse liée à la précarité sociale ou à la maladie.
